The Woodpecker PT-B model combines air polishing and ultrasonic scaling into one smart system with an easy to understand and adjust touch screen display. The PTA is your complete prophylaxis solution. Air polishing uses compressed air to spray powder and water on the tooth surface to remove surface adhesives such as plaque. It is comfortable for the patient, powerful and does not scratch the tooth surface.

Are you already doing the necessary steps to remove biofilm? Maybe, but it could be done more effectively by adding controlled air polishing to your process.

An important step in properly removing dental biofilm is to utilize a proper air polishing and ultrasonic scaling solution such as the Woodpecker PTB. The Woodpecker PTB delivers air polishing and scaling in one smart, affordable and effective device.

The process of biofilm removal is a sequential removal of plaque and calculus by initially detecting it with a disclosing agent followed by the use of an air abrasive powder/polisher for the removal of plaque and stains. Following the air polishing step, the subgingival plaque and calculus are removed with a specialized nozzle and, if required, ultrasonic scaling with a specialized tip is performed based on the clinical application.

Adding air polishing to your hygiene routine will allow you to remove biofilm, stains and early calculus prior to utilizing an ultrasonic scaler. Air polishing will allow the practitioner to remove biofilm supra and subgingivally, as well as enamel stains, with the provided Woodpecker powder - or another powder brand of your choice (see acceptable powder types/μm below). Biofilm will also be removed effectively from surrounding soft tissue during the air polishing process. Studies have proven air polishing is vastly superior to conventional biofilm removal with hand instruments.

Woodpecker Ultrasonic Endo Activator

The Woodpecker Endo 3 Ultrasonic Endo Activator is an intelligent ergonomic, wireless handpiece for activating irrigation during a root canal procedure. This unit replaces the Endo 1 and has some upgraded features. As you are aware, proper irrigant activation in the canals during a root canal plays a key role in the proper debridement and disinfection of the root canal system. The Endo 3 emits a high-frequency ultrasonic vibration to safely and effectively boost the endo irrigation used in endodontics.

Woodpecker LX16 Diode Laser

Three Wavelengths for Many Applications (Red & Blue Laser)

1 - The innovative 450nm blue laser technology is ideal for soft tissue cutting, ablation, coagulation and incision/excision. At 450nm, the absorption constant of hemoglobin is two orders of magnitude for ordinary lasers (e.g. 980nm/810nm) making it only need very low laser power to complete the treatment, and the thermal damage during treatment is extremely low.
2 - 976nm is a traditional infrared dental laser. Due to its deep penetration in tissues, it is widely used for the reduction of bacteria in periodontal disease and endodontic diseases. At the same time, this wavelength is also suitable for high power laser treatment (HPLT) and pain reduction in TMJ.
3 - The 650nm is used for low level laser therapy (LLLT) effects. It is also known as the photobiomodulation (PBM) effect. It will continue to contribute to wound healing and biostimulation of dental surgery.
