Traditional methods are time consuming and expensive : Very simply, WAMkey® enables you to remove a crown in 1 or 2 minutes. When possible, the temporary or permanent resetting of the original crown will result in substantial time savings for you. Avoiding cutting the whole crown, you also save your rotative materials (contra-angles, burs,...).
PRESERVES THE CROWN:
Therefore, after its removal, the prosthesis can keep fullfilling all its functions. It just has to be fixed with composite or by the technician. Thus, a provisional or permanent reset is possible.
Pressure s on the filling are particularly low, so that you can dismiss any infiltration risk.
Step 1:
Locate the cement layer between the occlusal surface of the abutment and the inner side of the crown itself.
Step 2:
Drill a thin horizontal hole in the crown.
Step 3:
When you can see the interface, deepen the hole until it reaches the centre of the tooth preparation.
Step 4:
Insert your WAMkey® in the cavity.
Step 5:
Make a simple rotation of the handle (1/4 turn).
Step 6:
The crown is immediately removed along the vertical axis of the abutment.
